It’s ideal for hard-to-wire locations and applications that call for more than smoke detection alone. The 5809SS combines two layers of protection in one device: a built-in fixed-temperature sensor that triggers an alarm if the surrounding temperature rises above 135F, and a rate-of-rise sensor that detects the rapid temperature increases typical of a fire, signaling an alarm if the temperature climbs 15F or more per minute. The 5809SS is UL Listed (UL 521) and CSFM approved for both commercial and residential applications.
